The most prestigious dance music label, Spinnin' Records, signed Oliver Heldens when he was just 17 years old. His hopes came true when the living legend Tisto took notice of his track "Gecko" after years of pursuing his passion and making music in his very own personal studio. He chose to distribute Oliver's music on his label, Musical Freedom, after falling in love with it right away. After numerous albums, remixes, and #1 chart positions, Oliver is currently one of the most sought-after DJs worldwide.
Oliver is lauded for his creativity and his capacity to come up with innovative concepts and tunes. When he was bored in class or riding his bike home from school, he would often come up with his best songs.
Oliver swiftly captivated the top names in dance music, like Tiesto, Hardwell, and Sander van Doorn to mention a few, after the release of his smash single "Gecko" in 2013. These celebrities did not just become his staunchest defenders but some even developed into mentors. The young DJ was inspired to work even harder in the studio by this unending support, and it gave him the resolve to persevere and carry on with what he truly loves: making music.
"Gecko" peaked at #1 on the UK chart and spent six weeks in the top five. It was certainly a way to come in big with a #2 ranking in Beatport's top 100. "Gecko" was still in the top 5 on Beatport's Main Chart after six weeks, and it occupied the top position on the Deep House chart for more than a month. His success story keeps on, too. Following the success of "Gecko," Oliver released "Koala," which peaked at number five on the UK Chart. "This" and "You Know," his collaborations with Zeds Dead and Sander van Doorn, then took the top spot on Beatport's Top 100 chart.
Following that, he produced solo songs like "Melody" and "Bunnydance," which have received well over 1 million plays on Soundcloud and YouTube. He's on his way to comparable success with the release of "Shades of Grey," a Shaun Frank and Delaney Jane collaboration.
The locations and festivals where Heldens has performed over the past five years are spectacular. The list includes venues like Amnesia Ibiza and Hakkasan Las Vegas as well as concerts at Creamfields, Coachella, Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami, and EDC Las Vegas.
