Summary:

The Challenge of Hosting: Keeping wine at the right temperature has always been a struggle during gatherings.

The Search for a Solution: After trying various methods, I discovered VoChill, a wine glass chiller that truly works.

A Game Changer for Hosting: VoChill has become an essential part of my hosting routine, ensuring every glass is perfectly chilled.

Those who know me know I love having guests over. Few things make me happier than a full house of friends and family, especially when the food is delicious, the music is just right, and the wine is flowing. But as much fun as hosting is, it’s also a balancing act. The table needs to be set, the food timed perfectly, and the drinks served at their best, especially the wine.

Wine

The highlight and occasional headache of my hosting experience. It’s one thing to pick out the perfect bottle, but keeping it at the right temperature? That’s an entirely different challenge. I like to treat my guests with lightly chilled red wines and want to keep those at that perfect cellar temperature, because it is always such a delight when they comment on how they have never tried chilling their reds but really love it.  And who wants to sip warm white wine? Constantly running back and forth to the fridge breaks up the conversation. Maybe I care too much, but few things are as frustrating as pouring a beautifully chilled glass only for it to turn lukewarm.

The turning point came when an old friend visited, treating us to a fantastic sauvignon blanc. We settled into the couch, catching up for hours, laughing, reminiscing, refilling our glasses, until we both took a sip and realized the crisp, refreshing wine had gone warm and flat. While she tried her best to hide it, I could tell each sip wasn’t as great, which struck a nerve with my hosting spirit. From that day on, I began searching for a solution to end this headache and in a twist of fate came across VoChill while rewatching Shark Tank.

Let me just say, VoChill was not the first ‘solution’ I came across, although thankfully my last. But before I found it, I tried ice buckets, stainless steel tumblers, gel-ice inserts (it's as weird as it sounds), all of which were either tedious, ineffective, or altered the experience in a way I couldn’t justify. I was close to just settling with olden ways until I found VoChill, a first-of-its-kind wine glass chiller. Unlike most solutions I saw that focused on cooling the bottle, and only for so long, VoChill was the only one that focused on the glass. I decided to order the Stemmed Wine Chiller and see if it lived up to the promise.

I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting such a small change to make such a big difference, but keeping wine at its ideal temperature truly changes the experience. Every sip tastes as it should, bright, crisp, and refreshing for whites and rosés, smooth and perfectly tempered for reds. I first tested it out with a bottle of chardonnay on a quiet evening at home, and I was amazed at how it kept my glass perfectly chilled from start to finish. No need to rush through my drink or stick it back in the fridge, just pure, uninterrupted enjoyment.

The best part?

There’s no fuss. The pieces lock together magnetically, no batteries or charging required. Just pop the chill cradle in the freezer, and it’s ready whenever I need it. I’ve even taken it outside for summer evenings on the patio, and it’s held up beautifully, keeping my wine cool even on warm nights. It’s such a simple luxury, but one I now can’t go without.

It has quickly become one of my favorite household items, and I’ve since bought the Stemless Wine Chiller Pair and another Stemmed Wine Chiller. Actually, I’ve got 6 of them… I love that I can set them out at the start of the night and I can keep several glasses cold before the chillers thaw. And when they do thaw, I just swap out the thawed ones with freshly frozen chillers. It’s easy. No more ice buckets to refill, no trips back and forth to the fridge. Not only is it great for the wine, but the chillers have become a conversation piece when guests come over. Everyone loves using them, and by the end of the night, they always ask where I got them.

Now, I can’t imagine hosting without them. It’s such a simple upgrade, but it makes the entire evening feel effortless. No more lukewarm wine, no more interruptions, just good company, great conversation, and a table full of happy guests.
