I Was Taking Six Supplements a Day. I Replaced Almost All of Them With One Scoop.

This is what happens when you fight inflammation at the cellular level

I noticed it on a Tuesday, standing in my kitchen, waiting for the kettle.

I was rolling my shoulder to get the stiffness out. Not because anything hurt exactly. Because that was just what I did now, every morning, before I'd even had coffee.

It had been that way for three years.

I’d hit a wall around 3pm and just stare at my screen, reading the same sentence over and over and over again. My knees crackled and ached on the stairs. My workouts that used to leave me energized and now just left me dead for the rest of the day. My nails broke before they grew long enough to need cutting.

I kept telling myself it was stress. A busy time of the year. Bad sleep.

Then I took a step back and realized the “busy time of the year” had lasted since 2023.

I Wasn't Being Lazy About It

That's the part that got to me.

I'd stretch. I'd set a timer to stand up every hour. I took collagen, a multi, magnesium, fish oil, a greens powder, and turmeric capsules that cost more than my phone bill.

I'd done slow mornings. I'd done cold showers. I'd done the apple cider vinegar shots.

Some of it helped a little. None of it moved the thing underneath. That heavy, foggy, worn-at-the-edges feeling just sat there, no matter what I did.

By the third year, I'd more or less accepted it. This was the new normal. My body had a new baseline and I was just never going to feel as good as I used to.

The Word I'd Never Heard Before

A trainer at my gym said it in passing, between sets. "Have you tried MSM?"

I hadn't. I'd never heard of it.

Methylsulfonylmethane. It's an organic sulfur compound, and sulfur turns out to be one of those things your body uses constantly and quietly. It supports your natural detoxification pathways, your antioxidant production, and the collagen and keratin your joints, skin, hair, and nails are built from.

Sulfur is in a lot of foods. It's also one of the first things stripped out by modern processing and soil depletion. Most people are running lower than they think.

That night I went down a research hole. Which is how I found Human Improvement's MSM Cellular Detox.

As I read more about MSM, I couldn’t believe all the benefits. It felt like it was made exactly for the way I had been feeling.

As I read more about MSM,

There is a lot of cheap MSM out there and most of it is not worth taking. Here's what made me choose this:

What Real Customers Are Saying

The Honest Part: It Tastes Bitter

I'm not going to pretend otherwise. It's bitter.

But I'd been doing apple cider vinegar shots for a year, so my bar was low. Compared to that, it's nothing. And it clears fast, in seconds, not that lingering thing.

They list a few ways to take it on the site. I do a warm water shot first thing. My partner does his with lemon juice. Some people mix it into coffee or juice and don't notice it at all.

Start at a quarter to a half scoop twice a day and work up from there.

What Actually Happened, Week by Week

Week 2. My face looked less puffy. I'd genuinely assumed that was just my face, despite training four times a week. My mornings changed first though. I got out of bed and my knees weren’t creaky and achy.

Week 3. My energy shifted. Not a jolt, more a smooth, all day energy and that the 3pm wall stopped showing up. The brain fog I hadn’t even realized had built up lifted and my head felt clearer than it had in years.

Week 4. My nails. They'd been snapping for the better part of a year and suddenly they were growing. My hair looked shinier. My skin looked looked smoother and tighter. That's the collagen and keratin support, and it was the first thing I could actually point at and say, there, that's it.

Month 2. I started phasing out the stack. The collagen went. The turmeric went. My cabinet has three things in it now instead of eight.

It wasn't a dramatic overnight change. But after two months it was clear my baseline moved up and all of a sudden I realized that I was feeling the best I had in years.

Who This Is Actually For

It's for you if you sit for a living and your body has started filing complaints. If your mornings are stiff. If you're taking four or five supplements and quietly wondering whether any of them are doing anything.

It's not for you if you want a flavored scoop that tastes like candy, or if you need something to work by Friday. This is a compounding thing. Give it three weeks before you judge it.
